I’m interested in switching to green electricity from kinex, what are the next steps?

That’s great to hear. You can switch in around 15 minutes by calling 0161 465 6662 and one of our friendly advisors will talk you through the process step-by-step.

How does the BEAT Your Renewal Quote Guarantee work?

Your renewal quote will be provided by your supplier towards the end of your current contract. If that first renewal quote is cheaper than the prices agreed with us, just send us the full details at least 14 days before your start date by email to pricepromise@kinex.co.uk and we’ll beat that quote.

How will I be billed?

We invoice all of your kinex services monthly on our unique one bill solution. Bills are issued around the 10th of the month and Direct Debits are collected approximately 7 days later.

How will you calculate my Direct Debit?

If you submit regular monthly meter reads, we will calculate your usage and invoice you for the services that you have used. If we can’t get accurate meter readings, we invoice you based on your estimated annual consumption. To avoid this, you should submit meter reads between 27th and 30th of every month. You can do this over the phone by calling 0161 465 6655, by emailing meterread@kinex.co.uk or by submitting them on your Customer Zone here.

How do I submit a meter read?

You can do this in a matter of clicks through your Customer Zone here, by calling 0161 465 6655 or by emailing meterread@kinex.co.uk. To make sure your invoice is as accurate as possible, please submit your reads between 27th and 30th of every month.

How is my bill calculated?

Your gas or electricity bill is made up of two elements:

  • The standing charge – the fixed daily amount that covers the costs of transporting energy to your premises and maintaining your meter.
  • The unit rate – the price you pay for the gas or electricity you use, usually measured in pence per kilowatt-hour (kWh). Depending on your meter, you might have different unit rates for electricity, such as day and night rates.

Coronavirus Update

If you’re a telecoms customer whose business has closed as a result of the national restrictions and you need a call divert adding to your line, no problem, simply click here and follow the on-screen instructions. You can also, pay a bill, reset your direct debit or report a fault with your telecom service, all online at kinex.co.uk/customerzone, at a time that’s convenient to you.

If you’re an electricity, gas or water customer whose business has closed as a result of the national restrictions and you didn’t give us a read within a few days prior to closing, it’s really important that you give us an up to date meter read now and another one as soon as you reopen. This is so that you only pay for what you’ve used. Here’s our helpful guide on how to read your meter. You can submit your meter read by logging into your exclusive Customer Zone portal or by emailing meterread@kinex.co.uk. If you email us, please remember to include your account number and the date you took the meter reading.
