The Murton Trust provides young people with respite, therapy and training courses and has been supporting young people and adults in north east Scotland since 2001.
And we’re pleased to be helping them continue their amazing work, with a donation from our kinex Community Support Scheme.
The nature reserve, near Arbroath, has been chosen to receive this month’s pledge, worth £500.
Murton Trust Manager, Alison Elliott, 34, says the money will ensure its work with young people can continue. “A big thank you to kinex from us. This donation will definitely be put to good use. We are a social enterprise so we rely on our visitors and on donations to help fund our work.
“The Murton Trust is very proud to be part of the community here. It’s a place where people can come to learn about the environment, to boost their confidence and to pick up important life skills.”
kinex’s PR and Content Manager Molly Chong, said: “The scheme has been designed to help us make a difference to communities across the UK. We were really impressed with the work of The Murton Trust and the difference they are making to the lives of thousands young people and volunteers in the area. It’s great to know that our funds are going to support a good cause.”
The man-made nature reserve, situated on the site of a former sand quarry near Forfar, has been providing work experience opportunities for young people and promoting engagement with the outdoors since 2001.
