This months successful applicant for the kinex Community Support Scheme funding was The Peter Pan Centre for Children with Special Needs in Stoke on Trent.
The aim of the The Peter Pan Centre is to provide high quality education and development a caring and friendly atmosphere for each child and their parents.
The children have a wide range of conditions and syndromes, such as cerebral palsy, Down’s Syndrome, autistic spectrum disorder, visual and hearing impairments, physical delays and speech and language delays – which may or may not have been officially diagnosed. The centre provides a safe, secure and stimulating environment, which helps children to settle in and quickly feel at ease.
Their service is unique to the area and they care for children from Stoke on Trent, Newcastle under Lyme, Cheshire and surrounding areas.
On receiving the £500 Community Support Scheme funding, Mandy Price, the centre Manager said.
“We wanted to thank you for your recent donation of £500 to help support our services at the centre. We are very grateful and on behalf of all the staff, children and families here at the Peter Pan Centre for Children with Special Needs, thank you.”
She added, ” Without the on-going support of Community Support Schemes such as kinex, we could not provide this sought after care and support. Your kind donation helps to ensure that we can continue our life enhancing work and helps us make a real difference to the lives of the children and families that use the Centre. Thank you for your support!”
